Let’s Re-Imagine How to Give Back and Make It Better

At WhiteBrick Group Inc., we believe innovation isn’t just for profit — it’s for progress. That’s why we’re developing the WhiteBrick Foundation, a charitable initiative designed to transform discarded technology into powerful educational tools for underfunded public schools.
Every year, countless laptops, tablets, and other digital devices are retired by large organizations — from waste and U.S. military facilities, to corporate offices and public institutions. Though these machines can no longer meet the high-performance demands of modern enterprise, they remain perfectly capable of supporting learning, exploration, and creativity.
Through the WhiteBrick Foundation, our goal is to acquire these devices at extremely low cost, then partner with certified refurbishment teams to assess their condition, install tailored educational software, and package them with a custom beginner’s curriculum and guidebook. Once prepared, these devices will be donated directly to public schools in the same country where they originated, ensuring waste is reinvested into local communities rather than landfills.
Why Now is the Time
The pace of technological advancement — driven by factors like the exponential growth of processing power and emerging quantum computer breakthroughs — means hardware lifespans are shrinking faster than ever. At the same time, labor costs for traditional e-waste recycling continue to rise, creating a unique opportunity to repurpose, rather than scrap, valuable devices.
Our model recognizes this intersection as a powerful moment for innovation in education and sustainability. By capturing and repurposing these assets, we aim to bridge the gap between waste and need.
A Blueprint for Sustainable Giving
One of the key innovations of the WhiteBrick Foundation will be its ability to provide clear, documented charitable valuation for donated hardware and supporting services.
- Companies contributing devices will receive certified receipts for tax credit purposes.
- Businesses that provide labor — such as refurbishment, software installation, or logistics — will also receive valuation receipts.
- This structured approach creates a repeatable incentive system that keeps the program viable even in challenging economic conditions.
We believe this tax credit model can sustain the Foundation’s mission long-term — rewarding donors while consistently delivering tangible results to schools in need.
Our Next Steps
The WhiteBrick Foundation is currently in its development stage, with focus areas that include:
- Establishing relationships with bulk hardware sources (government surplus, corporate refresh cycles, institutional upgrades).
- Building a network of certified refurbishment partners to ensure every device meets educational standards.
- Designing a beginner-friendly digital curriculum adaptable for different grade levels and learning environments.
- Coordinating with schools to evaluate the educational value of donated devices for accountability and improvement.
